Our new home
MV Anjumal is
our 65' steel trawler under construction by
Cape Horn Trawler
Corp. She is being built in Metegan, Nova Scotia at the shipyards of
A.F.Theriault & Son. She is due for delivery
around March of 2003. When we take delivery we plan to move aboard and
live on her full time.
- M/V Anjumal Gets
New Interior Design

- Anjumal's interior is being designed by
Plachter-Vogel Design of Ft.
Lauderdale, FL. Jane Plachter-Vogel has designed interiors for many
yachts in this class and larger. She has brought a real sense of space
to this project and we are excited by the results. The drawing here is a
view of the king size bed in the master stateroom. More about the
interior design can be found on the Living Spaces pages.
-
- Z-Drive has been Delivered

- Anjumal's propulsion includes a
Thrustmaster azimuthing drive also called a
z-drive. This drive unit can be rotated continuously through 360
degrees to provide thrust to counter currents or maneuver in close quarters.
Although it can also be used to steer, Anjumal is equipped with a large
rudder for steerage at cruising speed.
- Safe Travel Anywhere
- Anjumal is built for rugged safety. All steel construction, double
hulls, watertight compartments, watertight self-righting integrity, and
extra thick plating make her as safe as we think possible. Add to that
5,000 nautical miles of range and she can go anywhere. See the
Specs pages for
more details.
