Sold and moved!

Salem, NH Lake House
Hampstead, NH Condo

We are DONE clearing out our extra belongings in preparation for the move to Anjumal.  That means we sold the houses and have given away, sold, given to Goodwill, or thrown out all of our excess stuff.

It was quite an exercise.  We found that the minivanDump Truck held a huge amount of stuff once we took out all the seats.  After countless trips to deliver things (>10), trips to the dump (>20), trips to Salvation Army (>10), and people coming by to get stuff (>10), we rented a huge 30 cubic yard dumpster.  All the rest of the stuff went into the dumpster.  It was filled to the brim and we were carefully packing it the whole way through.

In November, we moved to a two-bedroom duplex about 2 miles from the old house.  Even with all the things we purged, we still filled 2/3 of a tractor trailer moving van. The condo was packed, the garage was packed, and the basement was packed.  Now even more trips to the dump ensued.

Now, 4 months later, it's starting to feel like we fit.  Living in the smaller space has been easier for Wray to adapt to, than Sherry.  But at this point, we are very comfortable here.  Moving into the smaller space will make the transition onto Anjumal easier.  We are used to the closer quarters and now are careful about what new stuff we add to our lives.
